Wizz Air has suspended flights between Budapest and Debrecen and Tel Aviv due to the Israeli air strikes on Saturday, in coordination with local and international authorities, the airline announced.
The airline is in constant contact with the Israeli, Hungarian, and international authorities, and is following the events.
Wizz Air will keep its passengers informed of the latest flight information by e-mail and text message at the time of booking.
For those who have not purchased their tickets directly from Wizz Air, they can check with the third party for any further schedule changes. “The safety of our passengers, crew and aircraft remains the airline’s top priority,” the statement said.
The airline also stated that
a flight departed from Budapest early Saturday morning, landed safely at the Israeli airport, but returned to Hungary without passengers. The flight from Debrecen to Tel Aviv landed at Larnaca Airport in Cyprus for safety reasons. The passengers will be transported back to Debrecen by Wizz Air.
